Best Time to Book a Court in Sri Lanka (Peak vs Off-Peak)
When to book an indoor cricket or futsal court in Sri Lanka to pay less and actually get a slot — peak vs off-peak hours explained, and how far ahead to book.
The best time to book a court cheaply in Sri Lanka is off-peak — weekday mornings and afternoons before 4pm — where you'll pay the base rate and rarely need to book far ahead. If you want an evening or weekend slot (6pm onwards), expect a peak surcharge of around LKR 500 and book a few days early, because those slots go first.
When is peak time for courts?
Peak is 6pm–10pm on weekdays and most of the weekend — after work and school, when the most people are free and the number of courts is fixed. That combination is exactly why evenings cost more and fill fastest.
When is it cheapest to play?
Weekday mornings and early afternoons are the cheapest and emptiest. If your schedule is flexible, a 2pm game costs less and you'll almost always get the court you want without booking ahead.
How far in advance should I book?
- Off-peak: same day is usually fine.
- Peak weeknights: book 2–3 days ahead.
- Weekend evenings: book earlier in the week — these sell out first.
How do I know what's actually free?
Guessing wastes time. Live availability shows you exactly which slots are open at each venue right now, so you can grab an off-peak bargain or lock a peak slot before it's gone — in under a minute, no phone calls.
The simple rule
Flexible and budget-conscious? Play off-peak. Set on an evening game with the group? Book early. Either way, check live availability first.
